Adaptive Sports Play for All
February 9, 2019
CHICAGO CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
Each February, Dare2tri partners with the Chicago Children’s Museum to host an Adaptive Sports Play for All Day. On this day, the museum opens an hour early at 9 am exclusively for pre-registered families that have a family member with a disability. The whole family is welcome to enter the museum for FREE to privately tour the exhibits before the museum opens to the public at 10 am.
In addition to access to the entire Children’s Museum, Dare2tri coordinates a variety of hands-on, interactive adaptive sports activities for families to experience including a See, Touch, and Feel prosthetics display, Tri It Triathlon where participants can try adaptive bikes and a variety of wheelchairs, racing chairs and roller sleds and adaptive judo. This event is a great opportunity to both experience the Chicago Children’s Museum and learn more about adaptive sports!
